Position Summary:
Teaching, Scholarship, and Service Requirements:
Teach a 3/4 load (three courses one semester, four the next), including introductory courses such as American Government and advanced undergraduate courses in U.S. Politics and Pre-Law.
Advise and mentor undergraduate students, including serving as faculty advisor to student organizations.
Participate in departmental and university service, including committees, recruitment, and retention initiatives.
Engage in ongoing professional development and scholarly research in the field of Political Science.
Contribute to the assessment of departmental learning outcomes and curriculum improvement efforts.
Qualifications :
Required:
Ph.D. in Political Science (ABD considered with evidence of near completion).
Specialization in U.S. Politics and Pre-Law.
Demonstrated potential for effective teaching, scholarly productivity, and service.
Preferred:
Experience with Pre-Law Teaching and Advising is strongly preferred.
Experience teaching and mentoring undergraduate students
