Position Summary:

OKLAHOMA CITY UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW invites applications for the position of Legal Research & Writing Professor, to begin in Fall 2027. The successful candidate will hold a presumptively renewable long-term appointment, following a probationary period.  Candidates are expected to teach in both the in-person and the online J.D. program, which is currently being developed.  The online J.D. program will be fully online, and courses are likely to be both asynchronous and synchronous.  All full-time faculty will fulfill their responsibilities in person at OCU Law.

In addition to a Legal Research and Writing Professor, OCU Law anticipates hiring 2-3 doctrinal faculty and a Program Director for the online J.D. program during the 2026-2027 hiring season, with successful candidates beginning appointments in fall 2027.

Candidates should have an excellent academic background, a strong commitment to effective and engaged teaching, and a sincere commitment to integrity and a welcoming environment. Candidates must have either a J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school or the combination of a foreign law degree and either an L.L.M. or S.J.D. degree from a U.S. law school.

Senior Associate Dean and Nurse Administrator

Nursing School
The Senior Associate Dean and Nurse Administrator provides academic and administrative leadership for the Kramer School of Nursing and serves as the designated Nurse Administrator for purposes of ACEN accreditation and Oklahoma Board of Nursing program approval. Reporting directly to the Dean of the College of Nursing and Health Professions, the Senior Associate Dean holds the authority and accountability required of the Nurse Administrator under Oklahoma Board of Nursing rules, including direct responsibility for administration of the School’s nursing education program, preparation and administration of the School budget, implementation of faculty development programs, and recommendation of qualified faculty for appointment, promotion, tenure (if applicable), and retention. The Senior Associate Dean ensures compliance and alignment with applicable accreditation and regulatory body standards and reporting requirements. As a senior member of college leadership, the Senior Associate Dean and Nurse Administrator works collaboratively with the Dean in providing strategic and operational direction for the College.
