Position Summary:
OKLAHOMA CITY UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW invites applications for one or more full-time, tenure-track faculty positions, to begin in Fall 2026. We welcome applications from candidates in all doctrinal areas, and we have particular needs in first-year courses (such as Torts, Civil Procedure, and Property), as well as Business Associations, and Wills, Trusts & Estates. We seek applicants whose commitment to teaching, research, and service will enhance the learning of our students, broaden the impact of our faculty scholarship, and enrich our close-knit academic community.
Candidates should have an excellent academic background, a strong commitment to effective and engaged teaching, demonstrated potential to becoming a productive scholar, and a sincere commitment to integrity and a welcoming environment. We have built a community that values dedication, collegiality, and professionalism, and we are seeking candidates who share these values. Candidates must have either (1) a J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school or (2) the combination of a foreign law degree and either an L.L.M. or S.J.D. degree from a U.S. law school.
Our gorgeous and historic law building is located in the heart of Oklahoma City’s legal and business community, near the federal courthouse and not far from our State Capitol. Our law school is deeply engaged with the legal, business, nonprofit, and government communities of the city and state. In fact, the Mayor of Oklahoma City (David Holt) is also the Dean of the OCU School of Law.
