Position Summary:
The Petree College of Arts & Sciences at Oklahoma City University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month Clinical Faculty position in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC), beginning in August 2025. This role is housed in the Division of Education & Professional Studies and includes teaching 24 credit hours of graduate courses in the CMHC program during the academic year.
These courses are fully developed, with embedded lectures, assignments, quizzes, and exams to ensure a consistent and engaging learning experience. This design significantly reduces preparation time and allows instructors to focus on what matters most-meaningful connection, experiential learning, and thoughtful feedback.
The CMHC program also integrates innovative online skills labs using recorded or AI-assisted client simulations. These dynamic, low-risk practice environments give students opportunities to develop core counseling skills while receiving formative, individualized feedback to enhance their growth.
Courses are delivered fully online and asynchronously, with the exception of Practicum and Internship, which include synchronous group supervision meetings. Summer teaching may be available.
This position is ideal for counselor educators who thrive in dynamic environments where innovation, independence, and collaboration shape both the learning experience and the future of the program.
